New Orleans-inspired all-day brunch concept, Ruby Sunshine, invites the community to celebrate its opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony and festivities on Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is open to the public and will feature New Orleans-inspired music, speeches from local community leaders and free samples from Ruby Sunshine partners Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company and French Truck Coffee.
The restaurant will also be giving away free T-shirts while supplies last to guests that dine-in during the grand opening. The restaurant will remain open for business during the ceremony and encourages all diners to enjoy the festivities.
Leading up to the grand opening, Ruby Sunshine hosted a community preview event, which raised close to $3,000 for Siskin Children’s Institute, a nonprofit that works to improve the quality of life for children with special needs and their families. In addition to the preview event donation, a portion of Ruby Sunshine’s dine-in sales from the grand opening will also go to Siskin Children’s Institute.
Located in Downtown Chattanooga at 405 Market St., Ruby Sunshine is a new concept from Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group, the collective behind the acclaimed New Orleans-based eatery Ruby Slipper Café, offering New Orleans-style brunch classics, such as Bananas Foster Pain Perdu, Eggs Cochon Benedict and White Chocolate Bread Pudding Pancakes, as well as cocktails.
