Stanley E. Schleenbaker, passed away on Oct. 15, 2020.

He was born April 22, 1930, the fourth of four sons was born in Lancaster, Pa. to Walter and Florence Schleenbaker. From an early age Stanley developed a strong work ethic in the family business, The National Novelty Brush Company. Gifted with curiosity in all things mechanical and technical, Stanley especially pursued interests in electronics and aviation achieving his pilot’s license as a teenager which eventuated in his later career as a corporate pilot.

Stanley married Roberta Eileen Wente of Portsmouth, Oh. Together they raised two children, Randy and Sharon.

A graduate of Andrews University, B.A., Theology, (Berrien Springs, Mi.), Stanley served as a minister in the Seventh-day Adventist Church both as a pastor and later as the first tenor with the Faith For Today Quartet, the music element of the international television ministry, Faith For Today. Later in life Stanley engaged in a variety of vocations including owning and managing a restaurant as well as residential building contractor.

In 1979 Stanley and his family located in the Collegedale, Tn. area from Long Island, N.Y. Throughout his life, he was actively engaged with numerous congregations of the Seventh-day Adventist community. Musically gifted, Stanley shared his vocal talent during the course of his entire life as an invitation of God’s love for all. Most recently he was a member of the male chorus InSpirit, the Master Choral, and the Collegedale Community Choir.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Margie Schleenbaker of Apison, TN; a son, Dr. Randal Schleenbaker of Lexington, KY; a daughter, Sharon Schleenbaker Aalborg of Charlotte, NC; a step-daughter, Lacy Lewis, of Chattanooga, TN; and three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
