Julio Cesar Salazar, Sr.
Julio Cesar Salazar, Sr., age 55, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, October 23, 2020 at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga, Tn.
He was born Feb. 7, 1965 in Rio Bravo, Mexico a son of the late Manuel and Rita Salazar. He was also preceded in death by his sister, San Juanita Salazar, and uncle, Felipe Beltran.
He was a 1983 graduate of Dalton High School. He was the owner of El Pollo Alegre for the past 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Velia Salazar of the residence; sons, Julio Salazar Jr., Brandon Ivan Salazar; daughter, Yesenia Salazar all of Dalton, GA; brothers, Victor Manuel Salazar, Nazario Salazar, sisters, Rosa Maria Garcia, Dora Elia Price; grandchildren, Ivanna Salazar, Alyssa Salazar, Zoey Gonzales; and nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial for Julio Cesar Salazar, Sr. will be held Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.m. from the Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Abel Guerrero officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his parents in the West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 25-26.
Due to the national health crisis and the COVID-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
