Georgia Has 38 New Coronavirus Deaths, 3,053 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Saturday there have been 38 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 8,624.

There were 3,053 new cases as that total reached 402,435 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 34,023, up 126 from Friday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 1,876 cases, up 14; 28 deaths; 95 hospitalizations

Chattooga County: 1,085 cases, up 1; 31 deaths; 76 hospitalizations

Dade County: 465 cases, up 3; 7 deaths; 26 hospitalizations

Walker County: 2,408 cases, up 30; 49 deaths; 111 hospitalizations, up 1

Whitfield County: 7,133 cases, up 109; 77 deaths, up 2; 342 hospitalizations, up 7
