Tennessee Has 4,589 New COVID Cases, 55 More Deaths; Hamilton County Has 201 New COVID Cases And No New Deaths

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is 340,476 on Sunday with 4,589 new cases. There have been 55 more deaths from the virus, for a total of 4,266, said state Health Department officials. 

Hamilton County had 201 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. The new total is 16,532.

There were no more deaths from the virus in the county on Saturday, leaving the toll at 134. 

The state currently has 2,065 people hospitalized from the virus, 5 more than on Saturday.

There have been 294,231 people who have recovered from the virus in Tennessee (86 percent).

Testing numbers are above 4.280 million across the state. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Bledsoe County:  1,140 cases, up 5; 5 deaths

Bradley County: 4,768 cases, up 12; 33 deaths

Grundy County: 734 cases, up 7; 14 deaths

Marion County: 1,031 cases, up 9; 17 deaths, up 1

Meigs County: 459 cases, up 4; 12 deaths

Polk County: 629 cases, up 10; 14 deaths

Rhea County: 1,555 cases, up 30; 30 deaths, up 1

Sequatchie County: 489 cases, up 2; 5 deaths
