Hixson's Kirby Brown Signs To Play With Roane State

Kirby Brown, of Hixson High School, recently signed to continue her basketball career with Roane State Community College.

As a Lady wildcat, Brown averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds per game, along with 2.8 blocks per game. Brown helped to lead Hixson to a fourth place finish in District 6-AA and a spot in the region tournament.  As a four-year starter she ended her prep career with 1,065 points.

Tennessee now has 72 coronavirus deaths - up seven since the Monday report. Cases have gone up from 3,802 to 4,138. Officials said 408 people have been hospitalized in the state from coronavirus. Georgia Has Big Jump In Number Of Coronavirus Cases, Up To 8,818; 329 Deaths

Georgia state health officials said Tuesday that 329 people in the state have died of the coronavirus - up from 294 on Monday. The confirmed cases are now at 8,818, up from 7,558 on Sunday, an increase of 1,260 cases. Officials said 1,774 have been hospitalized in Georgia with the deadly virus - up from 1,393 on Monday.
