Hamilton County Reports 2 More Deaths From Virus, 71 New Cases; Tennessee Has 19 New Deaths

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Hamilton County on Monday is 71. The new total is 8,901. There have been two new deaths reported, said the county Health Department, for a total of 87. 

There have been 7,531 people recover from the virus in the county and there are currently 1,283 active cases. 

There are 68 people hospitalized in Hamilton County from coronavirus, including 29 Hamilton County residents.  Sixteen are in ICU. 

Tennessee had 19 more coronavirus deaths bringing the total to 2,097, state Health Department officials said. 

There were 2,450 new cases in the state for a total of 174,274.

The state currently has 703 people hospitalized from the virus, 14 less than on Sunday. 

There have been 156,808 people who have recovered from the virus in Tennessee (90 percent).

Testing numbers are above 2.488 million across the state.

Davidson County: 25,345 cases, up 161; 281 deaths, up 2

Knox County: 8,276 cases, up 203; 67 deaths

Bledsoe County:  831 cases, up 5; 4 deaths

Bradley County: 2,740 cases, up 30; 16 deaths

Franklin County: 781 cases, up 35; 7 deaths

Grundy County: 185 cases, up 3; 4 deaths

Marion County: 452 cases, up 18; 7 deaths

McMinn County: 954 cases, up 9; 24 deaths

Meigs County: 204 cases, up 2; 3 deaths

Monroe County cases 955, up 11; 17 deaths

Polk County: 366 cases; 11 deaths

Rhea County: 732 cases, up 9; 8 deaths

Sequatchie County: 203 cases, up 8; 2 deaths
