Georgia Coronavirus Cases Top 300,000; Chattooga County Has 4 More Deaths

Georgia state health officials reported on Thursday there have been an additional 56 deaths due to the coronavirus. The new total is 6,474.

There were 1,901 new cases as that total reached 300,903 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 27,054, up 170 from Wednesday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 1,061 cases, up 7; 16 deaths; 71 hospitalizations, up 1

Chattooga County: 694 cases, up 8; 11 deaths, up 4; 50 hospitalizations

Dade County: 260 cases, up 3; 4 deaths; 19 hospitalizations

Walker County: 1,379 cases, up 15; 29 deaths, up 1; 69 hospitalizations, up 3

Whitfield County: 4,370 cases, up 26; 59 deaths; 233 hospitalizations
