Mitchell Scoggins
Mitchell Paul Scoggins, 78, of Ooltewah, went home to be with Lord on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga and Ooltewah for 30 years, Mr. Scoggins was owner of The Scale Model Makers, specializing in industrial and engineering models across the United States. For the past 22 years he was a partner and owner at Cornerstone Insurance Group.
He served actively for many years in several churches helping in almost every facet of church operations.
His passion was spending time with his family and working on his land in Ooltewah. He was a friend to everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Logan.
Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Sara Clonts Scoggins; five children, Sherry Paige Davidson, LaFayette, M. Chris (Heather Gray) Scoggins, Chattanooga, Tanya Michelle (Chris) White, Cleveland, Maria (Jeremy) Scoggins-Jones, Ooltewah, and Jennifer (Shawn) Scoggins-Flaherty, Harrison; five grandchildren, Hannah White, Tyler White, Seth Scoggins, Graylen Scoggins, and Zoey Jones; brother, Eston Buddy Scoggins, Cleveland.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. There will be a private family burial.
