Hamilton County Virus Cases Increase By 53; Tennessee Only Has 2 More Deaths

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Hamilton County on Saturday is 53. The new total is 9,241.  There have been no more deaths, said the county Health Department, for a total of 91. 

Tennessee had two more coronavirus deaths bringing the total to 2,218, state Health Department officials said. 

There were 2,075 new cases in the state for a total of 183,514.

The state currently has 662 people hospitalized from the virus, 115 less than on Saturday. 

There have been 165,844 people who have recovered from the virus in Tennessee (90 percent).

Testing numbers are above 2.661 million across the state.

Shelby County: 30,062 cases, up 262; 447 deaths, up 1

Davidson County: 25,972 cases, up 132; 289 deaths

Knox County: 8,923 cases, up 117; 72 deaths

Bledsoe County:  846 cases, up 2; 4 deaths

Bradley County: 2,850 cases, up 32; 16 deaths

Grundy County: 246 cases, up 16; 5 deaths

Marion County: 499 cases, up 6; 7 deaths

Meigs County: 220 cases, up 4; 3 deaths

Polk County: 377 cases, up 2; 11 deaths

Rhea County: 772 cases, up 6; 11 deaths

Sequatchie County: 222 cases, up 3; 3 deaths
