Smith, Jessie Mack “Pete” (Graysville)

Jessie Mack “Pete” Smith, 52, of Graysville, passed away on Thursday evening, September 24, 2020, at his home.

He was born in Rhea County on Sept. 8, 1968, the son of the late Lonnie and Thelma (Perry) Smith. He was also preceded in death by his four brothers, Vincent, J.J., Shorty and Junior Smith. 

Pete was an avid fisherman and enjoyed walking, repairing lawn mowers and music. 

He is survived by his son, Chris Smith of Memphis, two sisters, Carolyn (Jason) Marsh of Brayton Mountain and Violet (James) Grogan of Soddy Daisy, four brothers, Michael Smith of Dayton, Jackie Smith of Graysville, James Smith of Dayton and David Smith of Graysville. Also surviving is his friend and ex-wife, Teresa (Calbaugh) Smith of Dayton. 

Funeral services for Pete will be held Sunday afternoon, Sept. 27, at the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with Reverend Eddie Suttles officiating. Social distancing is strongly encouraged and masks will be required.
