Elvie Crumbley, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021. Born in Copperhill, Ga., Elvie was a resident of Cleveland for over 70 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Elvie was a selfless person who always put others before herself. She lived a life full of service to her family and her Lord. She loved to spend her time in her yard, but she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, most of all. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Elvie retired from Duracell and was a faithful member of Mountain View Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis & Georgia Ensley; husband, Robert Crumbley; siblings, Albert Ensley, Arvin Ensley, Edgar Ensley, Marie Ensley, Aretta Sipe, Ruby Sipe and Ruth Goins.
She is survived by her son, Robert “Bobby” (Debby) Crumbley; daughter, Rebecca Crumbley; sister, Susie McCormick; grandchildren, Kim (Billy) Bynum, Kristi (Anthony) Sims and Dustin Crumbley; and great-grandchildren, Chesney, Conner Bynum and Brooklynn Sims.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. Matthew 25:21.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 11 at Companion Funeral Home at 1 p.m., with Pastor Gary Sears officiating. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
