Mark Conrad Hilke, 45, of East Ridge, went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2021.

Mark was a graduate of Red Bank High School and went on to receive his BS in Finance from UTC. He was employed with Raymond James as Vice President, Wealth Management. Mark was a trustee for and a member of Chattanooga Church. One of his greatest passions was coaching young men and he accomplished this as an assistant football coach with Grace Baptist Academy. Mark was a huge Oklahoma Sooner fan. But most importantly he was a loving and devoted husband, father and brother.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Delores Hilke, his mother-in-law, Barbara Manning, and his father-in-law, Jim Foster.

Left behind to cherish Mark’s memory are his wife, Shanna, his daughters, Sarah and Megan, sister, Dawn (Clayton) Poe, brother, Matt (Nina) Hilke, brother-law, Joshua (Crystal) Foster, and father-in-law, Jimmy Manning, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held on Sunday January 24, 2021 at 5 p.m. with Pastor Morty Lloyd officiating in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3-5 p.m. For those that cannot attend, the services will be livestreamed via this link as it will be live-broadcasted from the funeral home’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/chattanoogaeastchapel.

His wife, Shanna, wanted to include a special poem entitled “Until We Meet Again”

Those special memories of you, Will always bring a smile

If only I could have you back, For just a little while.

Then we could sit and talk again, Just like we used to do.

You always meant so very much, And always will too.

The fact that you are no longer here, Will always cause me pain,

But you’re forever in my heart, Until we meet again.

We respectfully request that all current mandates set forth by the CDC and the Hamilton County Health Department be adhered to. This includes “social distancing” and wearing masks at all times while on the premises.

In lieu of flowers and to celebrate Mark’s legacy and belief in the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Grace Baptist Academy Rebuilding Fund, 7815 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
