Hamilton County Has No New COVID Deaths, 89 New Cases; Tennessee Has 2,841 New Cases, 40 More COVID Deaths

Hamilton County reported 89 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.

The new total of cases in Hamilton County is 36,978.

There were no more deaths from the virus in the county reported since Saturday, leaving the total at 337.

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 708,717 on Sunday with 2,841 new cases. There have been 40 more deaths from the virus, for a total of 8,859, state Health Department officials said.

The state currently has 2,128 people hospitalized from the virus, 136 fewer than Saturday.

Testing numbers are above 6.184 million across the state. 

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 654,335, 92 percent.

Bledsoe County:  1,781 cases, up 1; 11 deaths

Bradley County:  11,210 cases, up 47; 98 deaths

Grundy County: 1,430 cases, down 1; 22 deaths

Marion County: 2,360 cases, up 7; 33 deaths, up 1

Meigs County: 1,191 cases, up 9; 16 deaths

Polk County: 1,500 cases, up 15; 17 deaths

Rhea County: 3,913 cases, up 7; 57 deaths

Sequatchie County: 1,419 cases, up 8; 19 deaths

Knox 40,173 cases, up 185; 443 deaths, up 4

Davidson 73,045 cases, up 299; 693 deaths, up 1

Shelby 78,795 cases, up 408; 1,178 deaths, up 6
