Hamilton County Reports No New COVID Deaths And 40 More Cases; State Has 29 More Deaths

The Hamilton County Health Department reported no more coronavirus deaths on Friday and 40 new positive cases, down from 56 on Thursday. The total number of cases in the county now stands at 64,029. The death total is at 651.

The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations is 80 in Hamilton County - no change from Thursday. Three more are hospitalized with suspected COVID. There are 18 Hamilton County inpatients and 22 patients are in ICU - the same as on the day before.

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 62,4562, which is 98 percent. There are 816 active cases, down from 859 on Thursday.

Tennessee reported 1,153 new cases on Friday, for a total of 1,280,265 coronavirus cases. 

There were 29 more deaths in Tennessee reported on Friday, for a total of 16,351.

The state currently has 1,023 people hospitalized from the virus, 51 fewer than the day before.

The number of coronavirus tests that have been administered in the state is 10.316 million.

There have been 1,250,405 Tennesseans that have recovered from the virus, which is 98 percent.

Grundy County: 2,847 cases, up 5; 38 deaths

Marion County: 5,783 cases, up 13; 54 deaths

McMinn County: 10,529 cases, up 7; 132 deaths

Meigs County: 2,181 cases, up 2; 28 deaths

Polk County: 3,187 cases; 31 deaths

Rhea County: 6,988 cases, up 12; 93 deaths

Sequatchie County: 2,997 cases, up 2; 33 deaths

Knox County: 78,694 cases, up 52; 926 deaths, up 4

Davidson County: 121,275 cases, up 113; 1,164 deaths, up 3

Shelby County: 144,354 cases, up 75; 2,256 deaths, up 1
