Hamilton County Has No New COVID Deaths, 77 New Cases; Tennessee Has 8 More Deaths

Hamilton County had 77 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total to 41,727. There are no new deaths from the virus as the total deaths remains at 466.

There are 57 patients hospitalized and 15 in Intensive Care Units. Four others are in the hospital with suspected COVID. Of those hospitalized, 24 are county residents.

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 40,413, which is 97 percent, and there are 848 active cases.

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 795,963 on Wednesday with 1,826 new cases. There have been eight more deaths from the virus, for a total of 11,658, state Health Department officials said.

The state currently has 680 people hospitalized from the virus, six more than on Tuesday.

Testing numbers are above 7.027 million across the state. 

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 771,464, 97 percent.

Bradley County:  13,557 cases, up 65; 142 deaths, up 1

Grundy County: 1,718 cases, up 1; 30 deaths

Marion County: 3,012 cases, up 1; 45 deaths

Meigs County: 1,284 cases, up 2; 23 deaths

Polk County: 1,844 cases, up 8; 24 deaths

Rhea County: 4,205 cases, up 4; 73 deaths

Sequatchie County: 1,605 cases, up 4; 27 deaths, up 1

Knox County: 47,296 cases, up 109; 597 deaths, up 1

Davidson County: 83,700 cases, up 238; 874 deaths, up 2

Shelby County: 89,040 cases, up 143; 1,530 deaths, up 1
