Mary Ann Burton
Mary Ann Burton, 74, a resident of Old Fort, passed away on Wednesday evening, May 12, 2021 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Willie and Elsie Branam. Her husband, Walter 'Bud' Burton also preceded her in death along with her siblings and their spouses, Louella and Bill Goodwin, Betty and Joe Walker, Mark and Geree Brogdon, Edna and J. Anderson, Francis and Charles Smith, Luke and Mamie Brogdon, Jeanette and Bob Walters, Shirley and Roy Branam.
She is survived by one daughter, Brandi Hudson of Benton; three sons, Allen Burton and his wife Jessie of Old Fort, Jerry Branam and his wife Sonya of Benton, James Branam of Cleveland; one brother, James Eddie Branam and his wife Kathy of Cleveland; one sister, Lurrie Edwards and her husband Charles of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Matthew Branam, Nikki Snyder, Abby Hudson, Silas Hudson, Jack Burton; and one great-grandchild, Jack Snyder. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, May 16, at 2 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral Homes, Wildwood Avenue Chapel with Reverend Jeff Kesley officiating. Interment will follow in Cookson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with James Branam, Matthew Branam, David Green, Jonathan Dobbs, Nathan Walker and Eddie Branam Jr. serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at the Wildwood Chapel.
