Hazel M. Hindman, 82, of Cleveland, departed this life on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at her residence, with her family by her side. Born on Oct. 4, 1939 in Knoxville to the late Mark and Annie Lee Miller, she lived most of her life in Bradley County, and retired from Shering-Plough after 18 years of service. After retirement she worked on the family farm for many years and enjoyed cooking, spending time outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Herbie Hindman; sisters, Bea Watson, Alma Reagan and Yvonne Casson; brothers, Clinton Miller, David Miller and Eddie Miller; and step-daughters, Bunnie Julian and Debbie Williams.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Diana Gaston(Alan); sons, Roger Hindman(Georgia) and Robbie Hindman(Tammy); stepson, Skeeter Hindman; sisters-in-law, Gayla Harris Miller, Elaine Miller and Evalena Miller; grandchildren, Carrie Ruth (Jacob), Corey Hindman (Katie) and Casey Gaston(Christy); step-granddaughter, Jessica Jones; and five great-grandchildren, with two more due in May 2022.
She will be greatly missed. The only things you can take with you when you leave this work are the things you’ve packed inside your heart, and hers was full.
A Celebration of Life and Homegoing for Hazel Marie Miller Hindman will be held at noon on Friday, Jan. 28 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home, with Pastor Guinn Green officiating.
