The Chattanooga area will be treated to some great soccer over the next several days. Chattanooga is in it's second year of hosting the TSSAA state soccer tournament. Host sites include Chattanooga Christian School, Girls Preparatory School, Baylor and CHI Memorial Stadium.
CCS will host the first two rounds of Class A soccer and the semifinals of Division II-AA. GPS will host the first two rounds of Class AA and Baylor will host the first two rounds of Class AAA and the semifinals of Division II-A.
All state championship games will be played at CHI Memorial Stadium, home of the Chattanooga Red Wolves soccer team.
Local teams competing are CSAS, East Hamilton, Boyd Buchanan, Silverdale, Baylor and GPS.
Class A - CSAS will play Lakeland Prep in the Class A quarterfinals on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at CCS. Semifinals for Class A will be played on Thursday at CCS.
Class AA - East Hamilton qualified for Class AA quarterfinals and will play South Gibson on Wednesday at 4 pm. at GPS. Semifinals for Class AA will be played on Thursday at GPS.
Class AAA - there are no local teams that qualified for Class AAA play.
Division II-A - Silverdale and Boyd Buchanan won Division II-A quarterfinal matches on Saturday and will play on Thursday in the state semifinals. Silverdale faces off with USJ at 11 and Boyd Buchanan plays BGA at 1:30. Both of those games will be played at Baylor.
Division II-AA - Baylor and GPS also won quarterfinal matches on Saturday. Baylor will face off with Briarcrest in semifinal action at 11 a.m. and GPS will play Hutchison at 1:30. Those games will be played at CCS.
The Dviision II-AA state championship game will be played on Friday at 4 p.m. at CHI Memorial Stadium. The DII-A match will follow at 6:30 p.m.
All other state finals will be played on Saturday starting at 11 a.m.
