Janis Rose Terry, age 81 of Dayton, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at her home.
She was born in Desoto, Mo., on March 8, 1941, the daughter of the late Leeman and Gladys (Hood) Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Richard Lee Terry.
Janis lived in Dayton since 2009, had a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and was a retired RN. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was a strong woman of faith and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Janis is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Terry; her son, Lee Terry; and her granddaughter, Audrey Yawn, all of Dayton. She is also survived by her brother, Charles (Anita) Campbell of Arizona and her two sisters, Mary Campbell and Sue Dennis, both of Missouri.
Janis will be laid to rest next to her husband in Missouri. A memorial service for Janis will be announced at a later date.
