Wallace Lavoris Havis, 39, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in a local hospital.

He attended Howard High School and was a member of Hope of Glory True Church of God in Christ. He was formerly employed by Pilgrim’s Pride.

Wallace was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Monnett Havis; grandparents, Wallace Louis Havis and Ollie Monnett Havis.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Tracy Austin; sons, Javoris Havis and Devoris Havis; daughters, Lakahia Havis and Jacobia Havis; step-parents, Lee and Beverly Sims, all of Chattanooga; step-sister, Stephanie Sims; step-brother, John Johnson; aunt, Melody Ann (James) Jordan; cousins, Anthony (Jasmin) Jordan and James Colby Jordan, all of Atlanta; several cousins; other relatives and friends.

Wallace will lie-in-state on Saturday, April 16, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Terry Jeffries as the eulogist.
