Longtime Realtor Enjoyed Golfing And Time With Her Family

Ava Rowan, 67, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

She was born in Chattanooga, on Sept. 11, 1954. Ava was a member at the The Crossing Church in Chattanooga, the Ft. Oglethorpe Kiwanis Club and the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors. Ava was a realtor at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Realty Center for the past 20 years. She was recently awarded “The President’s Circle” for sales. Ava enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her family.  

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Irene Stone, Kenneth and Ruth Haggard; aunt, Ovella Stone Coley and sister, Regina Haggard.

Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Mike Rowan; parents, Garland Haggard and JoAnn Butts; son, J Rowan; daughter, Amy Jo Rowan; grandchildren Hadley and Navy; sibilings, Lowell Butts, Iva (Dick) Boozer,  Martha Manderson, 12 other half brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews.  

A memorial service will be held at noon on Tuesday, April 19, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Terry Harris officiating. 

The family will receive friends 2-8 p.m. on Monday, April 18, at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
