Alice Healy

Alice Healy, widow, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022.

Alice spent her entire life in the Chattanooga area, graduating from GPS then UTC. Raising her family on Signal Mountain, she cherished being a team mom, PTA president, and youth sports advocate. Alice was the supermom to her three children, never missing a game, match or meet. Sean, Kim and Chris always had a best friend who believed in them and who constantly gave unconditional love.

As her children became adults, Alice enjoyed a career in real estate. But her greatest joy in life was when her name became Grammie. Nothing else mattered when her five grandsons were around. She could often be found making her famous (extra sweet) sweet tea, baking treats for their beach trips, or cheering them on from the bleachers.

Alice made everyone around her feel loved and special. Her generosity and beautiful smile will be missed.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Healy and two sons, Sean and Chris Healy. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Johnson (Brent) and her five grandsons, Cole, Gage (Sarah), Seth, Rhet, and Teag.

Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, at Lane Funeral Home.

Graveside services are at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Bill Harvey officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415, 423 877-3524, lanfh.com.
