  • Monday, June 27, 2022

The Catoosa County Commission on Monday approved a budget amendment to provide School Resource Officers at every school.

The panel did so after hearing an appeal from Sheriff Gary Sisk, who cited the tragic shooting at Uvalde, Tex.

The sheriff also said he wanted SROs to be present at after school events.

Seven additional SROs will bring the total to 18 across the district.
