Judith Russell "Judy" Priest, 73, of Jasper, Tennessee, died on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at her home. 

The daughter of the late Russell L. Priest and Julia Gamble Priest of Jasper, Judy graduated from Marion County High School in Jasper and Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Fran Priest.

Judy spent several years in the timeshare business in Pigeon Forge, but the majority of her career was spent doing what she loved most – teaching school.  She taught at Cumberland County High in Crossville, later returning to Marion County High where she taught Drama and Language Arts.

Judy is survived by her cousins Sarah Keith and Charles W. Gamble, III (Charlie), both of Nashville, and by Charlie’s sons, Wes Gamble of Spring Hill  and Russ Gamble of Knoxville.

Interment was at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball. Visitation will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper from 4-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8. 

In lieu of flowers of flowers, memorial contributions can  be made the Marion County Food Bank or to a charity of your choice.
