Michael Young, Sr.
Michael Young, Sr. age 71, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Dewey “Bud” and Kathryn Young, and was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Young; his son, Steven Young; and his sister, Renay Young.
He is survived by his daughters, Miranda Young of Dalton, Holly Young of Dalton, and Nikki Young of Rocky Face; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael, Jr. and Pam Young of Rocky Face; his brothers, Marty Young and Eddie Whitener of Dalton; Grandchildren, Brandon Young, Morgan Young, Emma Hackney, Hope Stephens, and Nate Stephens; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and cousins also survive.
The funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 16, with Bill Cloud officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 5-8 p.m.
Interment will follow at Little Prospect Cemetery.
