William Sparkman
William “Red” W. Sparkman, Sr., 78, of Jasper, Tennessee, was called home on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
He was born to the late William W. Sparkman and Irene Matthews Sparkman on January 26, 1945. Red loved fishing and working in his garden. He enjoyed hunting, flea markets, yard sales Jerry Lee Lewis songs and spending time with his family.
Red was preceded in death by his father, William W. Sparkman; mother, Irene Matthews Sparkman; brother, Jeffrey Lee Sparkman and grandson, Zachery Sparkman.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Gregory S. Sparkman, William W. Sparkman, Jr.; daughter, Eleshia Sparkman; sister, Patsy Ferguson; grandchildren, Creg Sparkman, Gabriel Sparkman, Jacob Brown, Christian Chance Sparkman, Marshal Sparkman; girlfriend, Hazel Rector along with other family members and special friends.
Visitation is on Wednesday, May 24, from 2-7 p.m. and on Thursday, May 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tn.
Funeral services are on Thursday, May 25, at 1 p.m. CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, with Pastor Tracy Ferguson officiating.
Burial will be on Thursday, May 25, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
