Linda Hermon Peterson, 73, passed away on June 3, 2023, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

She was born on May 13, 1950, to Jesse and Hattie Jane Hermon. She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga. She graduated Howard High School in 1968. She was also a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelor of arts degree. She was employed by the Boy's Club (10 years), McKee Bakery (16 years), and Home Depot. Linda was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Hattie Hermon and sister, Josie Hermon.

She is survived by her daughter, Tiffani (Philip) Barfield; granddaughter, Dianne Duncan; grandson, Damon Brown; brothers, Joseph Hermon, Carl (Rosalind) Hermon; and sister, Dale Grogins; a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A public viewing will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 12, at Morris Hill Baptist Church with the visitation from 10:30-11 a.m.
