James Alan "Jim" Cassaday
James Alan "Jim" Cassaday, 88, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at his home.
He was the son of the late Paris Cassaday and Grace Pickrall Cassaday. His son, Brian Cassaday, also preceded him in death along with his siblings, Ed, Bob, Richard and Rosemary.
Jim retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of TSGT-E6 (Technical Sergeant) after 20 years of service. He was also retired from Proctor and Gamble after 13 years of employment. He was avid in woodworking and enjoyed creating many different crafts and furniture pieces. Bellefounte Baptist Church was his home church.
Jim is survived by his wife, Ahlin Luvene "Lu" Cassaday of Cleveland, sons, Paris Cassaday (Gina), Chris Cassaday (Lana), daughter, Regina Cassaday Kelly all of Texas, step-sons, Ike Addison of Cleveland, Greg Addison (Marybeth) of Dawson, GA, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Remembrance of Life memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Bellefounte Baptist Church with Reverend Lake Walker and Reverend Mike James officiating. Military Honors will be conducted at the conclusion of the service.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the start of the service from 2-3 p.m.
