Junior Lewis
Andrew Lee (Junior) Lewis, age 92, went to be with the Lord Jesus at his home on Fredonia Mountain on Friday, February 9, 2024.
He was a member of Restoration Pointe Church of God. He served in his church and community, enjoyed cutting wood and operating a sawmill, gardening and he loved to laugh. He worked several jobs in his lifetime and retired as custodian from Sequatchie County Middle School in 1993. After retirement, he served on the Sequatchie County Equalization Board for many years. He was the last living member from a family of ten children and will be missed by those who knew him.
Andrew was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Viva Price Lewis; parents, P.A. and Amanda Walling Lewis; brothers, Thomas, Hershel, John Henry, Maynard and J.T. Lewis; sisters, Grace Wise, Lola Mae Martin, Opal Ruth Boyd and Vina Lewis.
He is survived by his sons, James (Dean) Lewis of Hixson and Kenneth Lewis of Dunlap; grandson, James Jr. (Lauren) Lewis of Soddy-Daisy; great grandchildren, Jensen, Delaney and Elizabeth Lewis all of Soddy-Daisy; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Bro. Levi Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and Monday from 12 to 2 p.m.
