Caring Grandmother Who Enjoyed Time In The Yard

Ester Mary Wilcox Davis, age 61, of Old Fort went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Mary was born in Cleveland and raised in Polk County. She was of the Baptist Faith and worked at Mohawk Industries for many years. Mary enjoyed spending time in her yard, gardening, flowers, and vegetables. She was loving, caring, very open, and loved her family most of all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Davis; parents, Henry and Annie Wilcox; brothers, Albert and David Wilcox.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Malcom “Pee Wee” (Heather) Crisp; siblings, Mac Wilcox, Tommy Wilcox, Essie Duncan, and Bobby Wilcox; grandchildren, Tyler Crisp and Tasha Crisp; great granddaughter, Daislyn Roseann Crisp; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, at Ball Play Baptist Church, 1142 Ball Play Rd. Old Fort, Tn. 37362. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, with Pastor Matthew Harris and Pastor Charles Moore officiating. Interment will be in Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery.
