Tracy Jones, 56, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in a local hospital.

He graduated from Howard High School in 1986. He was a member of Greater Second Missionary Baptist Church.

Tracy was preceded in death by his daughter, Carmeisha Desha Jones; step-father, James Johnson; sister, Sonya Toney; grandmother, Jimmie Roberts; grandparents, Tommy and Veenie Mae Jones; uncle, Richard Benford; grandfather, Joe Nathan Cosper.

Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 40 years, Tonya Jones; daughters, Tynisha Jones and Lakita Jones, both of Chattanooga; ten grandchildren; father, Rufus Jones, of Chattanooga; mother, Ruthie Johnson, of Chattanooga; brothers, Stacy Jones and Sequoia Toney, both of Chattanooga; sisters, Walita Smith, Tomika Mobley, LaWanda Mobley, Tonya Mobley, and Mary Ellison; best friend, Alonzo Burton; a host of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Tracy will lie in state on Thursday, July 25, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Jerry L. Burse as Eulogist.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
