With broken hearts we announce the passing of our son, Donovan Christian Daley who passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Donovan was born March 31, 1997, and was raised in Chattanooga and attended Ooltewah High School.

He worked various jobs throughout his young life.

As he grew in age, so did his love for the political process. His focus, desire, and dream for a better world continued to grow in his heart. That led him to become dedicated volunteer for the Hamilton County Democratic Party, for which he enthusiastically worked.

Donovan was a member of the LGBTQ community.

He is survived by his father and step mother, David and Stephanie Daley; mother, Wendy Daley; sister, Devan Daley; aunts, Tammy Daley, Jennifer Pendergast, and Karen Minor Wilmer; uncles, Jody and Scott Minor; several cousins, and his dog, Chomps.

A remembrance service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Chattanooga, 401 Gateway Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37402.

Visitation for family and friends will follow the service.

Donations in Donovan’s name can be made to the following charities. Hamilton County Democratic Party, LBGTQ, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, McKamey Animal Shelter, First Baptist Church of Chattanooga donation page, or to giving.ncsservices.org/App/Giving/fbcchattanooga.
