Silverdale Baptist Academy's Lady Seahawks soccer team flew past Grace Baptist's Lady Golden Eagles in a road game goal-fest that ended 8-0. The Lady Seahawks were paced by Hallie Chapman's hat trick. Silverdale has had a great season with only one loss and a tie against seven wins and the majority of their games won handily. This match was no different for the Lady Seahawks as they controlled the ball the entire game. Silverdale showed great skill and chemistry on the ball making it look easy from the first whistle.

In the first half Silverdale immediately pressed high and looked for goal. With many attacking options on the wings and in the midfield, there were plenty of opportunities to be created. The first goal came from the wing back Sophie Barnes in the first four minutes of the game. The entire game, Silverdale used their wingers and wing back to support the offense. This time a run from Barnes and a strong pass from Brooke Bolton added up for a simple, yet fast first Goal.

After this, Silverdale played the possession game. this allowed this to see all of their options and smoothly transition from defense to offense. Before the halftime whistle, The Lady Seahawks would put in four more goals. The first of these from Bolton from inside the box. Then immediately another goal from Chapman would be executed from outside the box. Two more goals again from Bolton and Chapman to conclude the half. Silverdale went up 5-0.

The second half would kick off with Silverdale still pulling away with the scoreline. The sixth goal of the game came from midfielder Aubrey Philpot after being in the right place at the right time. a shot was deflected off the keeper and right to her feet. she wasted no time and put in the rebound. Towards the end of the match Silverdale put in two more goals to add to their massive lead. The first from Barnes after a quick run with the ball on the wing. The second came from Chapman again making this a hat trick day for her. The Lady Seahawks would go on to win 8-0.

After the match, star player and midfielder Chapman spoke about the win, “The season has been good,” Said Chapman. “We haven’t had too much competition until we entered the tournament. I think we realized later on in the season there are going to be good teams like that, and we are going to have to start stepping up every game and not just against the better teams. I think it makes us want to work together more. When we get to playing good teams, one person can’t make it all the way. It has to be passes and working together. We were trying to connect passes and play as a team, not just shooting around. I think we can go all the way. This has been a good year for us and we have good players.”
