McCallie Netters Down Chattanooga Christian In Middle School Tennis Action

Playing at Chattanooga Christian School, Sam Harris, Liam Tabibiazar, Calvin Caputo and Ayan Chakraborty gave McCallie a 4-2 lead after singles, and then the Blue Tornado swept all 3 doubles to defeat the CCS Chargers 7-2 in middle school tennis.  Clinching the match at number 3 doubles was Rhys Coleman and Ayan Chakraborty by an 8-5 score. 

Sam Harris and Liam Tabibiazar at number 1 doubles rallied from an 8-7 deficit to win in a tie-breaker at 9-8 (1), and the number 2 doubles team of Wylie Shumate and Brantley Lockhart found themselves down 5-1 and 7-4 before coming back to win 9-7.  With the win McCallie became the ISC regular season champion and improved their season record to 8-1.

The McCallie B team defeated the CCS B team 9-0.  Winners in singles and doubles were Vikranth Basava, AJ Gupta, Mason Rudder, Zoan von Schultz and Porter Oshaughnessy.  Rhys Coleman in singles and Calvin Caputo in doubles were also victorious.
