Virginia Ruth Davis Henry
Virginia Ruth Davis Henry, born on July 23, 1942, known to her family and friends as Tommy, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She fell asleep in this world and woke up to her Lord in Heaven. She finally got to walk home where her family was waiting to welcome her.
She was a devoted and caring wife to Mack, a fierce and loving mother to Mark, a present and steady guide to her daughter-in-law Joanna, and a doting, caring, and unwavering Grammy to Joseph.
Her gentle and calm presence will be missed by those who had the honor to have her in their lives. If you knew Virginia, you knew she never complained-not through multiple cancer battles, other health issues. Even in her living with Alzheimer’s did not one complaint pass her lips. If ever asked if she needed anything, her constant reply would be ”Heavens no! Don’t worry about me. I am okay.” In a world where everything is a complaint, she was a constant compliment. That was her super power.
May she now have all the peace, rest, joy, laughter, and of course, ICE CREAM, she so richly deserves.
Till we get on one of those strong loving Virginia pats on the back, we will hold you in our hearts. We will find you in the sunrises and sunsets and all the moments in between.
There will be a graveside service for Virginia on Monday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. at Chattanooga Memorial Park (Duck Pond) with Reverend Bill Harvey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Virginia’s honor.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson. Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com
