Richard Lynn McDaniel, 70, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his residence.

He was born in Chattanooga, on May 14, 1954, to the late Eugene and Marie McDaniel. Richard was employed with Chattanooga Memorial Park and Hamilton Memorial Gardens, retiring on August 26, 2022, after 15 years of dedicated service. He was avid Alabama and NASCAR fan.

Richard was preceded in death by a brother, Noel Henderson and a sister, Joyce Ann McDaniel.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Barbara McDaniel; son, Christopher (Jessica) McDaniel; step-daughter, Mary (Todd) Giansanti; grandchildren, Leo and Ty McDaniel, Josh, Sophi and Lulu Giansanti; great-grandson, Carter; sister, Attica Goforth and Kathy Slatton; brothers, Thomas McDaniel and Tommy Kilgore; several nieces and nephews.
