To all members and non-members of the Soddy, Daisy & Montlake Historical Association, this coming Saturday the Historical Association will host their annual Regional History Fair.
The event will be at the Soddy-Daisy High School in the Commons area of the school. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and will end at 4 p.m.
Organizers said, "We will have around 70 tables of local history. This history will include Civil War, Trail of Tears, industrial pottery, coal mining, Rhea County history and Red Bank History.
"We will have Sam Hall from chattanoogahistory.com, Matt Miller with his collection of Chattanooga photos and other memorabilia, the Photo Doc will once again be there for any questions about old photo restoration. There will be a display about Big Soddy Creek Gulf Park. Also, someone will be there to help you with questions about doing family research.
"There will be this year, for the first time, a group from the model train collectors with a large display. The list goes on and on. The address is 618 Sequoyah Access Road in Soddy-Daisy. If you do come, go to the front of the school, which is away from the football field. There is plenty of parking. We ask for a donation of $5 for adults 18 and older, a $3 donation for students eight to 17, and any child less than eight gets in free. We hope to see you this Saturday."
