Charlotte Creek, 81, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025. She was born and raised in Geraldine, Al., and was very proud to be from Alabama.

She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a choir member. She finally gets to see the face of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, the one which she has worshiped, praised, sung songs and witnessed to people about all her life, have come true. She loved the Lord and was a faithful soldier. She loved missionaries and supported several of them with her prayers and love offerings for many years.

Charlotte worked for many years with Pioneer Title then started helping with the family business and was co-owner of Creek’s Cabinet Shop for over 40 years before retiring.

She will be missed dearly by all her friends and her church family because she loved everyone, and they loved her back. Her absence from her 5th row from the front pew will always remain special. We will also miss seeing and hearing her sing in the choir and her famous homemade potato salad at all Church gatherings.

She was preceded In death by her parents, Orban Curtis and Cleo V. Watkins Gilbert; sister Phyllis Jolley; brother-in-law, Cordell Jolley; and niece, Susan Beth Jolley.

The only survivor is her husband, best friend, companion and co-worker, Clarence Edward Creek. Clarence is the love of her life; they have been married for 58 years. She knew when he walked across the parking lot when he returned from serving his country in the Army, that he was the man God wanted her to marry. They have been by each other’s side since that day.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. George A. Ashburn officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.– 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

A special thanks and appreciation to Gentiva Hospice from Cleveland who showed love, compassion, care and support. Also, to her life-long friend, Beverly Langford.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made, in Charlotte’s memory, to her church, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 1441 Crawford St., Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
