His systematic methodology has successfully scaled AI adoption across his district, with a particular focus on training Math and Science teachers in practical AI applications. Mr. Bagby's selection as an AI Innovator speaker acknowledges his contributions to demystifying AI in education and creating scalable models for ethical AI implementation that can benefit school districts nationwide.
Listed as one of District Administration magazine's top 100 influencers in education for 2024, Mr. Bagby has served in various roles over his 31-year career, including classroom teacher, building administrator, adjunct professor and professional learning specialist. He is a fixture at many ed tech conferences, where he presents on technology and leadership. Additionally, Mr. Bagby served on the 2024 National EdTech Plan Technical Working Group committee.
Julie Daniel Davis: Enhancing Student Outcomes with AI
Julie Daniel Davis, a 20-year educator, technologist and speaker, has co-founded CheckForU, a formative assessment platform leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance student outcomes. In collaboration with three other co-founders, Ms. Davis spearheaded the development of CheckForU, which provides teachers with data-driven insights and students with personalized feedback. CheckForU utilizes AI to generate assessments and deliver actionable data, enabling educators to implement targeted, data-informed instruction.
Ms. Davis's commitment to educational technology stems from a belief in its potential to optimize teaching practices, allowing for increased focus on individual student needs. In addition to her role at CheckForU, Ms. Davis serves as an adjunct professor at UTC, instructing both current and future educators. She also offers educational technology consulting and professional development services.
