Clarence Leon “Buddy” Brumlow, 98, of Chattanooga passed away on April 18, 2025.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and worked as an electrician with Local 175.

Buddy enjoyed raising bantam fowl - chickens and pigeons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Mae Brumlow; sisters, Marie Sherill, Mary Strickland, Ruth Woody, Irene Tesner and Patricia Green; brothers, Leonard Brumlow and Joe E. Brumlow.

Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Melvia Bowman Brumlow; son, Douglas Leon Brumlow; brother, Hershel W. Brumlow, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside in Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, April 28, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the McKamey Animal Center, at mckameyanimalcenter.org or a favorite charity.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
