Nancy Elizabeth Bishop Pryor (Betsi, Aunt B) of Chattanooga Tennessee passed away peacefully at her condo on May 12, 2025. She was born on Aug. 2, 1950, to George Meredith and Margaret Ruth Bishop in Wichita Falls, Tx.

Betsi Pryor graduated from McMinn Central High School in Athens Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1972 with a degree in Medical Technology. She worked as a medical technologist and as a lab system manager at Erlanger Hospital for a total of 26 years. Since 1998 she has worked with different Consulting Companies as a Medical Technology System Consultant, primarily for the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Betsi was a charter volunteer at the Tennessee Aquarium for 33 years. She also was an avid UTC Moc football and basketball fan, with decades of season tickets. Music and friends were a constant joy and entertainment in her life.

Betsi is preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Bishop; husband, Andrew Clyde Pryor; daughter, Molly Kate Pryor; brother, William Jordan Bishop.

Left in the world to cherish their memories are her loving devoted son, Andrew Gabriel Pryor; brother, George Bishop; sister, Anne Maxwell Bishop; in-laws, Francis and Ann Pryor and long-time friends, Aldine Ketner, Tricia Dyer, Linda and Charlie Steinhice, Ohio Work Buddies, her Monthly Dinner Group, Condo Friends, and her precious four-legged Stella and Harry and gran pups.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 305 W 7th St., Chattanooga, Tn. 37402 with Father C. Murdock Jones officiating.

Betsi will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, Tennessee following the funeral service.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, from 12-1 p.m. (EDT) at St. Paul Episcopal Church prior to the funeral service.
