Oscar Randall “Randy” Martin, 69, of Harrison, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born on April 29, 1956, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to the late Oscar Jackson Martin and Vera Martin Bohte.

Randy was a true outdoorsman with a deep love for hunting, fishing, camping and working on cars. A man who often said he was born in the wrong century, Randy had a cowboy’s spirit and a heart for the simple, rugged life. He retired from Williams and Johnson Transmission, where he was known for his skill, dedication and strong work ethic. He was a great storyteller who loved recounting tales about his parents and grandparents.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Martin.

Randy is survived by his wife, Margaret Harris; his son, Troy Martin; stepson, Kyle Harris; three grandchildren, especially Devin and his mother, Janice one great-granddaughter; his sisters, Teresa Brown, Lynn (Jeff) Miller and Doris Truett; his brothers, Jack (Cheryl) Martin, Joe Martin and John W. (Abby) Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

A memorial service to honor Randy’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any horse rescue.

Randy will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
