Police said they  arrived on the scene of a house being burglarized on Orchard Knob Avenue on Sunday.

Ellijah Fleming, 19, and Bobby Reco Edwards, 26,  were arrested on burglary charges.

Police said they found Fleming coming down the steps of the house. He was caught in the street in front of the house.

The second suspect, Edwards, was seen running through nearby woods. Additional officers, including a K9 officer, were called after it was learned that Edwards may have been armed with a gun.

The dog located Edwards in a small drainage ditch and bit him, causing Edwards to run deeper into the woods.

He was apprehended when he came out of the woods.

A gun was not located, though Fleming said he had seen him with one.

Fleming said Edwards had taken his cellphone. It was found near where the dog bite occurred.
