Daniel Palka is locked in at the plate right now, but not even a 2-for- 2 night with a
walk from the right fielder could give the Lookouts a win tonight, as they fell 6-1 in the series opener

The Lookouts fell behind early as the Biscuits tagged starting pitcher DJ Baxendale for four runs early.  Chattanooga answered quickly with a run in the first inning on a Montgomery error.

After the first inning the Lookouts bats fell quiet as they did not score again.

Baxendale settled in after a rocky start, only allowing one more run over five more innings. The righty finished the day allowing five runs over six innings.

The Lookouts bullpen took over for Baxendale in the seventh and combined to only allow one run in three innings of relief.

Former Twins prospect Chih-Wei Hu earned the win for the Biscuits after allowing no runs in five innings of work.

Friday is game two of the series and features LHP David Hurlbut against RHP Jacob Faria. Game time for FireworksFriday is 7:15 pm with gates opening at 6:00 pm.
