A police pursuit that began on Monteagle Mountain ended shortly before 6 p.m. on Thursday near the Mountain Shadows community in East Brainerd.
Hamilton County deputies assisted Marion County Sheriff's Office deputies as they pursued Dylan Hilton in connection with a stabbing that took place earlier at a gas station.
No deputies were injured in the pursuit, but some law enforcement vehicles received minor damage.
Hilton is caught on video going behind the counter with a knife and beginning to stab the clerk repeatedly. He then helps himself to several items behind the counter before leaving.
The clerk was treated from a local hospital and later released.
Authorities said
Shrum said earlier Thursday, Hilton tried to take a vehicle from a man at a gas station off of Highway 127 in Pelham.
The man, who was getting gas, got into a fight with Hilton, who had cuts across his face when he was finally apprehended.
