A Chattanooga woman allegedly hit her husband after a night out spent drinking. On Thursday police responded to a call from Kevin Terrette. His wife, Jamie Terrette, 34, had spent the night drinking with a friend. Mr. Terrette told her to not come home, in order to “avoid confrontation,” according to the police report.

Ms. Terrette came home anyway, and began to argue with her husband. She allegedly grabbed his phone and began to hit and scratch him. Mr. Terrette was able to regain control of his phone, and called the police.

Ms. Terrette told police the argument occurred, but denied ever physically striking or scratching Mr. Terrette. However, because of scratches and redness around Mr. Terrette’s arms, chest, and neck, police determined Ms. Terrette did attack her spouse.

Ms. Terrette was taken into custody, and was transported to the Hamilton County jail. She has been charged with simple assault and domestic violence.
