Hamilton County Has Record 466 New COVID Cases And 3 New Deaths; Tennessee Has 5,693 New COVID Cases, 36 More Deaths

Hamilton County had 466 new COVID-19 cases on Monday. The new total is 18,602.

There were three more deaths from the virus in the county since Sunday, two White males and one Black male, two between the ages of 71-80 and one over 81, bringing the total to 158. 

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 16,240, which is 87 percent, and there are 2,204 active cases. 

Hamilton County had 125 patients hospitalized from the virus, with an additional 23 suspected cases.
Of those, 75 are county residents. There are 30 people in intensive care. 

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is 380,186 on Tuesday with 5,693 new cases. There have been 36 more deaths from the virus, for a total of 4,638, said state Health Department officials.

The state currently has 2,369 people hospitalized from the virus, 40 more than on Monday.

There have been 336,131 people who have recovered from the virus in Tennessee (88 percent).

Testing numbers are above 4.551 million across the state.

Bledsoe County:  1,194 cases, up 5; 5 deaths

Bradley County: 5,583 cases, up 114; 37 deaths, up 2

Grundy County: 800 cases, up 8; 14 deaths

Marion County: 1,153 cases, up 31; 19 deaths

Meigs County: 516 cases, up 6; 13 deaths

Polk County: 704 cases, up 10; 15 deaths

Rhea County: 1,843 cases, up 42; 34 deaths, up 2

Sequatchie County: 555 cases, up 9; 5 deaths
