Georgia Has 54 More COVID Deaths, With A Record 7,958 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Thursday there have been 54 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 9,607.

There were a record 7,958 new cases, as that total reached 531,954 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 40,539, up 400 from Wednesday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 3,037 cases, up 60; 34 deaths; 154 hospitalizations, up 1

Chattooga County: 1,450 cases, up 20; 43 deaths, up 3; 100 hospitalizations, up 4

Dade County: 673 cases, up 8; 7 deaths; 38 hospitalizations

Walker County: 3,546 cases, up 69; 54 deaths, up 1; 160 hospitalizations, up 3

Whitfield County: 10,256 cases, up 151; 109 deaths; 487 hospitalizations, up 3
