Georgia Has 35 More COVID Deaths, 8,630 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Thursday there have been 35 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 26,214.

There are 8,630 new cases on Thursday, as that total reaches 1,331,539 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 92,506, which is an increase of 242 since Wednesday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 8,844 cases, up 15; 98 deaths

Chattooga County: 3,804 cases, up 7; 92 deaths, up 1

Dade County: 1,938 cases, up 6; 19 deaths

Walker County: 10,194 cases, up 32; 136 deaths

Whitfield County: 19,824 cases, up 23; 331 deaths
